Beijing boasts about 200 star-rated hotels catering to international and domestic tourists and visitors.These hotels range from five-star luxury joint venture hotels to one-star simply furnished ones. In spite of their difference in decoration and facilities, they all will offer you a feel of home and comfort. For the International Congress of Mathematicians 2002, the Continental Grand Hotel will serve as the congress hotel, and some other hotels of different categories around the convention area are chosen to meet the needs of delegates of different budget.

Following is the list of the primary hotels chosen. More hotels will be added to the list along with the progress of the preparation of the ICM2002. The rates are all per room rates (twin-bed room) and include one breakfast.

Continental Grand Hotel
 
This hotel, an international four-star hotel, will serve as the headquarters hotel for the International Congress of Mathematicians 2002. It is composed of two buildings with 1259 rooms including standard rooms, suites and luxury suites. It has a choice of restaurants of various sizes offering refined Chinese cuisine, western food, Japanese fast food, and Korean barbecues.
 
 
The services include foreign currency exchange, beauty salon, massage, sauna, telex, fax, typing, photocopying, laundry, international direct dialing and satellite TV programs. To its adjacent east is the Beijing Recreation Center, a top-notch fitness and entertainment center and to its adjacent west, Beijing International Convention Center. All these buildings are connected by indoor corridors.

Shuttle buses will be provided to delegates staying in some of the above hotels not within walking distance.
